Football Game Preview: Forest Park Foresters vs. Chesapeake Bay Hawks

The Forest Park Foresters will welcome the Chesapeake Bay Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Forest Park's defense has only allowed 14.6 points per game this season, so Chesapeake's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Forest Park will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Edmondson-Westside on Friday. The Foresters simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Red Storm 38-2. With the Foresters ahead 38-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Forest Park didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Jaelyn Vanlandingham picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Chesapeake came up short against Eastern Tech on Thursday and fell 19-6. The Bay Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Forest Park has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.0 points over those games. As for Chesapeake, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
