It's playoff time, and Philip Simmons had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Whale Branch Warriors on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Iron Horses in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Philip Simmons was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-7, 25-10.

Philip Simmons' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dani Gehringer, who had 14 assists and three aces. Gehringer has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Sophia Pheney was another key player, getting nine assists and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Philip Simmons was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in three consecutive matches.

Philip Simmons' record now sits at 34-5. As for Whale Branch, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 6-16.
