Baseball Recap: Grove City Takes a Loss

Grove City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Teays Valley Vikings. The Greyhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Grove City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Teays Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Grove City will face off against Upper Arlington at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Golden Bears have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Teays Valley, they will take on Lancaster at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Gales will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
