 Whitman won against Richard Montgomery  last Friday with ten  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Monday. The Whitman Vikings came out on top against the Wootton Patriots by a score of  10-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Whitman also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2023.
  Connor Werkman looked comfortable as he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.
 On the hitting side, Whitman let  Gideon Schwartz and  Marcus Dober loose on the outfield. Schwartz  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances, while  Dober  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.  Dorian Smith was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 The  win  made it two in a row for Whitman and  bumps their season record up to 2-0.
 Whitman will be playing in front of their home fans against Poolesville at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Wootton, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sherwood at 3:15  p.m.  on Thursday.
