Baseball Recap: Woodland Takes a Loss

Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bernie Mules. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mules this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-4 back in March.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bernie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Woodland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-0 loss against Leopold on the 15th. Bernie has also already played their next contest (against Senath-Hornersville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
