Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greenwood Gators. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2019.

Lexi Hensley paced Lafayette's offense, picking up four kills. Hensley got some help from Elise Trimble and her 11 assists.

Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 18-17. As for Greenwood, the win snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 21-13 record.

Lafayette has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Kings on the 18th. Greenwood has also already played their next contest (against Sayre), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
