Softball Game Preview: Kingsley-Pierson Panthers vs. Lawton-Bronson Eagles

The Kingsley-Pierson Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Lawton-Bronson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kingsley-Pierson is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Kingsley-Pierson took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against West Monona, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers skirted past the Spartans 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted against the Spartans since June 28, 2018.

Meanwhile, Lawton-Bronson earned a 5-1 win over West Central Valley on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Kingsley-Pierson pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Lawton-Bronson, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.

Kingsley-Pierson took their victory against Lawton-Bronson when the teams last played back in June of 2024 by a conclusive 14-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
