Baseball Game Preview: Tascosa Rebels vs. Amarillo Sandies

Tascosa is 0-10 against Amarillo since April of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rebels will be playing at home against the Sandies at 5:00 p.m. The last four games Tascosa has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Tascosa didn't have quite enough to beat Monterey and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Amarillo had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. Everything went their way against the Westerners as they made off with a 10-2 win. That's two games straight that the Sandies have won by exactly eight runs.

Amarillo's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Tascosa, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Tascosa might still be hurting after the 13-0 loss they got from Amarillo in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
