Baseball Recap: St. Francis Episcopal Comes Up Short

St. Francis Episcopal lost to Cooper last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolves lost 8-2 to the Dragons. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Francis Episcopal saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Spinelli, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Grant Jovanelly also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

St. Francis Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Cooper, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, St. Francis Episcopal will venture away from home to challenge Covenant Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cooper, they will square off against Fort Bend Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Dragons 3.7, the Eagles 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
