After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southeast, Guernsey-Sunrise was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Rock River Longhorns. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Guernsey-Sunrise wouldn't go down easily and took Rock River into a fifth set where they got it done with a ten-point win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-23, 25-21, 27-29, 16-6.

AllyAnn Dimas paced Guernsey-Sunrise's offense, picking up 22 kills. Dimas got some help from Kamlee Collar and her 27 assists.

The victory got Guernsey-Sunrise back to even at 8-8. As for Rock River, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Guernsey-Sunrise has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Varsity Opponent on the 27th. Hopefully Rock River paid attention to the Vikings' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Vikings at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
