Softball Recap: Rains Falls Short of Whitesboro in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Rains can now relate to. They came up short against the Whitesboro Bearcats on Friday, falling 17-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since March 1st.

This is the second loss in a row for Rains and nudges their season record down to 20-11-1. As for Whitesboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

While Rains had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
