Volleyball Game Preview: Covenant Eagles vs. Ignite Athletics Flames

After both having extra time off, the Covenant Eagles and the Ignite Athletics Flames will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Covenant lost 3-0 to Ohio Valley Christian two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-14, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Ignite Athletics didn't have quite enough to beat Ross County Christian Academy last Saturday and fell 2-1. The Flames have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Ignite Athletics sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-22, 18-25, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Ignite Athletics saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kiera Hager had 23 digs. Those 23 digs set a new season-high mark for Hager.

Ignite Athletics' defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Covenant, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
