While Winner's victory against Chamberlain wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Cubs 8-7. With that victory, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Cameron Olson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Winner got a massive performance out of Adyson Sharp, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Sharp is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Barfuss, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Winner's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Chamberlain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Winner will head out on the road to square off against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton at 4:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Chamberlain, they will be playing at home against Mobridge-Pollock at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
