With a playoff win on the line, Barbers Hill rose to the challenge on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Angleton Wildcats. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their 27th in a row.

Kenli Irwin paced Barbers Hill's offense, picking up 12 kills. Irwin got some help from Julianne Melancon and her 22 assists. Melancon also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mina Ludwig, each putting up three.

Barbers Hill's record is now 40-5. As for Angleton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-15 record this season.

Barbers Hill will challenge College Station at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Angleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
