Volleyball Recap: Cheyenne Comes Up Short

Cheyenne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Centennial Bulldogs. If the Desert Shields were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-11, 25-18.

Cheyenne's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Centennial, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cheyenne will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Somerset Sky Pointe at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. Centennial also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Shadow Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on March 26th.
