Basketball Recap: Kingsburg Vikings vs. Central Valley Christian Cavaliers

After losing to the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers the last time they met, the Kingsburg Vikings decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Kingsburg came out on top against the Cavaliers by a score of 64-51 on Thursday. Kingsburg pushed the score to 55-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cavaliers cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Central Valley Christian still got an impressive performance from Caden Lloyd, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five blocks. Lloyd has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mateo Borges, who scored five points.

The win got Kingsburg back to even at 12-12. As for Central Valley Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.

Kingsburg will head out on the road to face off against the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kerman has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 227 points over their last three matches. As for Central Valley Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Washington Union focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday.
