Volleyball Game Preview: Live Oak Acorns vs. Willow Glen Rams

The Live Oak Acorns will venture away from home to face off against the Willow Glen Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Live Oak sitting on eight straight victories and Willow Glen on three.

Last Thursday, Live Oak earned a 3-1 win over Overfelt.

Live Oak walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 20-25, 25-20, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Willow Glen was able to grind out a solid win over Scotts Valley on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

Willow Glen not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Scotts Valley between 19 and 21 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19.

Live Oak pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Willow Glen, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Live Oak took their victory against Willow Glen when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Acorns since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
