Soccer Game Preview: Mount Si vs. Woodinville

The Mount Si Wildcats will square off against the Woodinville Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mount Si's last eight matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Mount Si is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Mercer Island, who was ranked fourth at the time (Mount Si was ranked 13th). The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday. Mount Si's defeat signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Meanwhile, Woodinville put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 6-4 win over Skyline.

Mount Si's draw makes their record 4-1-3 this season. As for Woodinville, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0.

Mount Si beat Woodinville by a goal when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 3-2. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
