Football Game Preview: Berrien Rebels vs. Thomasville Bulldogs + How To Watch

Berrien is 1-7 against Thomasville since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Berrien took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 33-7 margin over Brantley County. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Herons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, while Thomasville put up plenty of points last Friday, the same can't be said for Brantley County. The Bulldogs blew past the Herons 45-0. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Berrien better keep an eye on Cam Hill. He was instrumental in Thomasville's win, throwing for 222 yards and four TDs while completing 81.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 41 yards and one score. Hill's passing game has become a key predictor of the Bulldogs' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise.

Thomasville's run defense was locked in: Brantley County could only muster 1.8 yards per carry. The team can thank Joe Douglas for the heroic effort on defense: he. Thomasville didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.7.

Thomasville's defense didn't let Jayden Byron, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Brantley County's side was Douglas, who picked up a sack and made ten total tackles.

Berrien's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Thomasville, their record is now 6-3.

Berrien was dealt a bruising 42-0 loss at the hands of Thomasville in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
