Basketball Recap: Holgate Takes a Loss

Holgate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 62-26 loss at the hands of the Pettisville Blackbirds. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 764th, while the Blackbirds are ranked 181st).

Holgate's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Pettisville, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holgate will face off against Montpelier at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pettisville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
