Softball Game Preview: Washington Latin Public Charter School Lions vs. DC International Dragons

The Washington Latin Public Charter School Lions will face off against the DC International Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Washington Latin Public Charter School is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: KIPP College Prep, who was ranked 12th at the time (Washington Latin Public Charter School was ranked 13th). The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 9-9 tie on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, DC International came tearing into Monday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Trailblazers get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won four games by eight runs or more so far this season.

DC International pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. Washington Latin Public Charter School's tie gives them a new season record of 3-3-1.
