Volleyball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

Wayne was the 3-1 winner over Monticello when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Badgers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buckaroo on Saturday.

Chloe Stewart paced Wayne's offense, picking up 16 kills. Stewart got some help from Timber Wood and her 28 assists. Cassie Rees controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Monticello, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Wayne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Duchesne on the 18th. As for Monticello, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against St. Joseph on the 18th.
