Basketball Recap: North Warren Central Takes a Loss

North Warren Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Hartford Central Tanagers, falling 57-24. The Cougars were down 45-17 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Hartford Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mckenzie Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. The contest was Johnson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cailin Severance, who posted 13 points and six steals.

North Warren Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Hartford Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

North Warren Central will square off against Salem at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Hartford Central, they will take on Schroon Lake at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Hartford Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
