Baseball Game Preview: Roaring Fork Rams vs. North Fork Miners

Roaring Fork hasn't had much luck against North Fork recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rams will square off against the Miners at 3:00 p.m. Roaring Fork will be strutting in after a win while North Fork will be coming in after a defeat.

Roaring Fork is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Moffat County on Saturday as they made off with a 23-0 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for North Fork's offense. They came up short against Montezuma-Cortez on Saturday, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Miners have suffered since April 1st.

The victory made it two in a row for Roaring Fork and bumps their season record up to 6-14. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for North Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Roaring Fork was able to grind out a solid victory over North Fork in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 8-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
