Softball Recap: Jamesville-Dewitt Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Jamesville-DeWitt waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Auburn Maroons by a score of 15-11. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-1 back in April.

Jamesville-DeWitt's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Auburn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Coming up, Jamesville-DeWitt will square off against Central Square at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Redhawks' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Red Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
