Basketball Recap: Rockmart Comes Up Short

After soaring to 73 points the game before, Rockmart was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 86-27 loss at the hands of the Darlington Tigers. The contest marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Rockmart's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Darlington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Rockmart won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Model at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Model knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Rockmart likes a good challenge. As for Darlington, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Groves at 3:00 p.m. on December 30th. One thing working in Darlington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
