Football Recap: St. Joseph Takes a Loss

St. Joseph faced Utah Military Academy - Hill Field in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Jayhawks had to suffer through a 36-0 loss at the hands of the Thunderbirds. The game marked the first time this year in which the Jayhawks were not able to get on the board.

Madden Bentley threw for 47 yards on three of nine attempts. Izaiah Hebert was his top target, picking up 72 receiving yards. On the ground, Ryker Christensen rushed for 67 yards on only five carries.

St. Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Utah Military Academy - Hill Field, the victory also got them back to even at 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. St. Joseph will square off against rival Rich at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Utah Military Academy - Hill Field is set to face off against their familiar foe Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
