Basketball Recap: Algona Sets Scoring Season-High Against Pocahontas

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Algona). They were the clear victor by an 87-62 margin over the Pocahontas Indians on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Algona's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Pocahontas, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Algona has already played their next game, a 55-54 win against Iowa Falls-Alden on the 24th. As for Pocahontas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-58 defeat against Emmetsburg on the 24th.
