Baseball Recap: Tamarac Comes Up Short

Tamarac lost against Mechanicville on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bengals lost 9-3 to the Red Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bengals have suffered since April 8, 2024.

Tamarac saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Blakesley, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Jacob Smith was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Tamarac and nudges their season record down to 8-4. As for Mechanicville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Tamarac is set to square off against their familiar foe Greenwich at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mechanicville will challenge rival Saratoga Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
