Football Recap: Chiefland Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake + How To Watch

Chiefland won the last time they faced Belleview and things went their way on Friday too. The Indians walked away with a 21-14 win over the Rattlers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Indians' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Rattlers are ranked 398th).

Chiefland had a senior duo take command as Demorri Sweet rushed for 116 yards on only 13 carries and Matt Goodale rushed for 39 yards and one score. Sweet is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 111 every time he's taken the field this season.

Although Belleview took the loss, they still got scores from Keondre FIllmore and Nicholas Mills.

Chiefland now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Belleview, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Chiefland will venture away from home to take on Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Hornets have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Belleview, they will be playing at home against Dixie County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
