Baseball Recap: Barton Comes Up Short

Barton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Carlisle Bison, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bison this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on Thursday.

Barton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Carlisle, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barton will head out to challenge McCrory at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. As for Carlisle, they are taking a road trip to take on Des Arc at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
