Baseball Preview: Clinton-Massie Falcons vs. Miami Trace Panthers
The Clinton-Massie Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Miami Trace Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
On Wednesday, Clinton-Massie didn't have quite enough to beat Batavia and fell 4-3. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, Miami Trace entered their tilt with Logan Elm on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Braves a 4-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly four runs.
Not much got past Cam Morton, who gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks to keep Logan Elm off the board. Morton has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.
