Basketball Recap: Big Rapids Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Big Rapids won against Kenowa Hills last Tuesday with 47 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Big Rapids Cardinals enjoyed a cozy 47-29 win over the Manistee Chippewas. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Chippewas: they've now won nine in a row.

Big Rapids pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points over those games. As for Manistee, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
