Recap: Jumpertown Cardinals vs. Falkner Eagles
The Jumpertown Cardinals pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 73-55 to Falkner. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jumpertown in their matchups with Falkner: they've now lost five in a row.
Leading Falkner to victory were Elijah Mauney and Chris Nunley. Mauney scored 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Nunley scored 25 points along with six assists and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Nunley has scored at least a third of Falkner's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chadarrius Bogan, who scored 12 points.
Jumpertown has been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season. As for Falkner, their win bumped their record up to 10-16.
Jumpertown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Falkner, they will take on Byers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Byers is coming into the match with three straight victories on the road, meaning Falkner will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
