Basketball Recap: Coahulla Creek Comes Up Short

Coahulla Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Murray County Indians. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Indians are ranked 22nd).

Coahulla Creek's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Murray County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-1.

Coahulla Creek will welcome Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Murray County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Excel Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
