Recap: Chicago Hope Academy vs. Chicago Christian Knights
Chicago Hope Academy had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 51-43 win over Chicago Christian on Saturday. That's another feather in the cap for Chicago Hope Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Chicago Hope Academy found their leader in underclassman Amoria Allen, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Janessa Centeno was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Chicago Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Naima Hogue, who scored 18 points along with three steals, and Tegan Colyer who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Hogue continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Chicago Hope Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Chicago Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chicago Hope Academy will take on Wheaton Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chicago Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Harvest Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
