Softball Recap: Clemente Wins Going Away Against Agricultural Science

Clemente won against Solorio last Friday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Wildcats blew past the Agricultural Science Cyclones 17-4. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Cyclones: they've now won three in a row.

Clemente let Sabrina Negron and Kayla Porrata run wild. Negron went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Porrata scored two runs while going 4-for-4. Jaylani Sanchez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Clemente always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .742. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .578 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Clemente's win bumped their record up to 4-0-1. As for Agricultural Science, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Clemente will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cyclones: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
