Basketball Recap: Harvard Cardinals vs. Osceola Bulldogs

Harvard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 32nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 54-10 loss at the hands of the Osceola Bulldogs. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.

Tabi Forney was Harvard's leading scorer, having posted five points. Forney also led the team in rebounds with nine.

Osceola found their leader in sophomore Bella Recker, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Recker has scored all season. Addison Theis was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards.

Harvard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Osceola, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

Harvard won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Silver Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Silver Lake will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Harvard surely won't give up without a fight. As for Osceola, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Santee at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Santee is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.1 points per game this season.
