Newark Catholic's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Licking Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Newark Catholic strolled past Licking Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 49-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Newark Catholic since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
