Basketball Recap: Jordan Iverson Key Part of a Team Effort in Falcons Win

There's no place like home for Prince RVT, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They skirted past the Harvard Ellis Tech Eagles 62-59. The victory was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Prince RVT's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Iverson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 29 points and 13 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Iverson has scored at least a third of Prince RVT's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cal Williams, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 20 points and four steals.

Prince RVT was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Prince RVT picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Harvard Ellis Tech, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Prince RVT Falcons face off against the Vinal RVT Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Harvard Ellis Tech, they will venture away from home to take on Grasso Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
