East Chambers posted their biggest victory since December 27, 2024 on Friday. They breezed by the Anahuac Panthers to the tune of 46-6. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 496th, while the Panthers are ranked 1368th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for East Chambers and bumps their season record up to 17-10. As for Anahuac, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

East Chambers will take on Kirbyville at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. Kirbyville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Anahuac, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Anahuac Panthers face off against the Buna Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anahuac is facing Buna at the right time seeing as Buna is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
