It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Fulton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the East Dubuque Warriors 6-5. That's two games straight that the Steamers have won by just one run.

Fulton pushed their record up to 16-12 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for East Dubuque, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 13-9.

Looking ahead, Fulton will head out on the road to take on Warren/Stockton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. East Dubuque does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
