North Eugene lost to Crater back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The North Eugene Highlanders pulled ahead with a 55-54 photo finish over the Crater Comets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Highlanders.

Jordan Gray continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was D'Mariyae Ireland, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points.

North Eugene's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Crater, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

North Eugene will venture away from home to challenge Thurston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crater, they will welcome Ashland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Crater likes a good challenge.
