Baseball Recap: New Castle Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for New Castle's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Greenfield-Central Cougars on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost six in a row.

New Castle saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Hancock, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Hancock hit this season.

New Castle's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Greenfield-Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, New Castle will be playing at home against Pendleton Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenfield-Central, they will head out to square off against Noblesville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
