Soccer Game Preview: MacArthur vs. Coolidge

MacArthur is 0-3 against Coolidge since September of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Mammoths will face off against the Colts at 5:30 p.m.

MacArthur is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Roosevelt, who was ranked 15th at the time (MacArthur was ranked 19th). Neither the Mammoths nor the Roughriders could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The victory was some much needed relief for MacArthur as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Coolidge hasn't lost a match since October 4th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Banneker.

Coolidge's victory bumped their record up to 9-2-3. MacArthur's draw gives them a new season record of 2-5-1.

MacArthur suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Coolidge in their previous matchup on October 6th. Can the Mammoths avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
