Basketball Recap: Trinity Skates Past Etna with Ease

Trinity was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Etna on Friday. The Trinity Wolves simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Etna Lions 61-27. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Claire Cox had a dynamite game for Trinity, dropping a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elsie Storckman, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards.

Trinity smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive matchups.

Trinity has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points over those games. As for Etna, they dropped their record down to 7-19 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Etna, they will venture away from home to face off against Tulelake at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
