Soccer Game Preview: Treutlen vs. Wheeler County

The Treutlen Vikings are taking a road trip to square off against the Wheeler County Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Treutlen will be strutting in after a victory while Wheeler County will be coming in after a loss.

Treutlen is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Johnson County get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Tuesday. It was an even better day for Natalie Meeks as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Wheeler County came up short against Swainsboro on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The victory made it two in a row for Treutlen and bumps their season record up to 2-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two contests. As for Wheeler County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Treutlen might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Wheeler County when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Treutlen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
