Basketball Game Preview: Alamosa Mean Moose vs. Ignacio Bobcats

The Alamosa Mean Moose will venture away from home to square off against the Ignacio Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alamosa will be strutting in after a victory while Ignacio will be coming in after a loss.

Alamosa got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They managed a 50-44 win over Monte Vista last Tuesday.

Victor Zepeda was his usual excellent self, going 8-for-18 en route to 22 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Alamosa's points. Jaidyn Burciaga was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Ignacio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 64-50 bruising from Montezuma-Cortez.

Ignacio's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Alamosa, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-17.

Alamosa came up short against Ignacio in their previous meeting back in January, falling 49-43. Can Alamosa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
