Softball Recap: Frankenmuth Gets the Win

On Tuesday Frankenmuth's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Garber Dukes. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Chloe Compau was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over eight innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Siena Bosco was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs. Emma Sprowl was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Frankenmuth's record is now 5-0. As for Garber, they dropped their record down to 8-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Frankenmuth beat the Dukes by a score of 8-7 later that day.
