Basketball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield managed to keep up with Reno County HomeSchool until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Fairfield Falcons lost 43-22 to the Reno County HomeSchool Sabres. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Fairfield lost, don't look at Fatima Espinosa. Despite the final result, she posted seven points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhylee Haskins, who had four points along with 11 boards and three steals.

Fairfield has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Reno County HomeSchool, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Fairfield will welcome Central Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th. As for Reno County HomeSchool, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 43-20 victory against Fairfield/Cunningham on the 21st.
